Photories is provided by Appsolutely Handy, KVK 77361148, Sibeliuspark 350, 5343 BM Oss, Netherlands; +31 6 42877931.
Please include your device model, operating-system version, Photories version and what you were trying to do. For a purchase or privacy request, include the relevant support ID from the app if available. Please do not send payment-card details or your photo library.
Importing photographs
Choose the import action and select photographs in the system picker. The separate photo-library import option needs the permission you choose to grant in device settings. If you granted limited access, only permitted photographs are available.
If an original is stored in your device's cloud photo library, the device may need an internet connection to download it. Very large, damaged or unsupported files may fail to import. Keep enough free device storage: Photories makes its own original copy for the collection.
Missing or incorrect dates can be corrected using the photograph's date controls. For a frozen photograph, first choose Resume aging. Resuming and correcting a date remain available without a subscription. A photo without a known capture date is not treated as if it were taken on its import date.
Viewing and shaping your collection
Tap a photograph in the collection to open its viewer. The Darkroom is where you set up the aging look. Effects use the photograph's capture date and do not modify the imported original. Freezing preserves the selected aging moment; it is not a cloud backup.
Subscriptions
Photories Plus includes new photo imports, saving aging-look changes, freezing photographs and exporting aged images. Existing collection viewing, date corrections, resuming aging, removing photographs, daily memories and original export remain available without active paid access. Your collection is not deleted when a subscription ends.
Monthly and yearly plans provide the same features. The App Store shows your actual localized price before purchase. No free trial is offered at launch.
To restore eligible access, sign in to the same App Store account used to subscribe, open Photories' Collection settings and choose Restore purchases. You need a network connection to contact the store and subscription service. Restore purchases restores subscription access; it does not restore photographs or aging settings from another installation.
Use Manage subscription in settings to open your store's subscription controls. On iPhone or iPad, you can also open device Settings, your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting Photories does not cancel a subscription. Apple cancellation help.
For an App Store refund request, use Apple's refund process. Your statutory consumer rights remain available. Apple refund help.
If a purchase is missing, use Copy subscription support ID in Collection settings and send that ID with your message. Never send a store password. We do not currently promise that a purchase on one store transfers to another store.
Daily memories
Enable Daily memories in Collection settings and choose a time. Photories schedules a reminder only when your imported collection contains photographs from the same month and day in an earlier year. The notification tells you how many match. Bundled sample photographs, undated photographs and photographs from the current year do not count. February 29 photographs match on February 29.
Reminders are scheduled locally; no internet connection is needed to deliver a reminder that has already been scheduled. Notification permission, Focus/Do Not Disturb, battery settings and operating-system delivery rules can affect whether and when you see it.
Photories plans up to 60 matching dates within the next year and refreshes that schedule when you open it or update the collection/settings. Open the app occasionally, and after changing timezones, so future reminders stay current. It cannot promise notifications indefinitely if it is never opened again.
Tapping a reminder opens the matching collection day. An older reminder still opens the day it refers to. You can disable reminders in Photories or your device's notification settings.
Photos, storage and backups
Photories does not upload your photographs to a Photories server. It stores imported originals and aging information on your device. On iOS, original copies and collection information are eligible for operating-system backup according to your settings; thumbnails are excluded. Platform behavior can vary; this is not a Photories backup guarantee.
Clear saved thumbnails removes rebuildable previews, not original photographs or their dates/settings. Photories does not currently have a complete collection archive/export-and-restore feature. Keep your original photo library and important exports; an individual exported image does not preserve all of a collection's settings.
An original export can retain embedded metadata, including location when present in the source. Choose where you share originals accordingly.
To remove a photograph, choose Remove from Photories from its menu or the delete control in its viewer, then confirm Remove photo. This removes the Photories entry, date and frozen look and deletes its app-owned original when no other entry needs the same file. It leaves the photograph in your device's photo library unchanged. There is no Undo; export anything you want to keep first.
If Photories reports that storage cleanup is pending, the photograph has already left the collection and cleanup will retry when safe. Previously exported images and existing device backups are separate copies. We cannot recover a collection lost through app removal or device loss from our servers.
Privacy and data requests
Optional usage analytics is not enabled in this launch version. Subscription processing remains necessary for purchases and paid access.
To request access to or deletion of provider records, email privacy@appsolutelyhandy.nl. In Collection settings, use Copy subscription support ID for purchase records, if available. Include the relevant ID with your request. An email address alone may not identify records that never contained your email.
